He was just 19 years old when his life ended this past weekend. WKBT in La Crosse reports that a Janesville man has been charged with homicide by intoxicated driving in the early morning crash.
Three other people were injured in the violent collision at 2:49 on Sunday morning at an intersection. People said a Chevrolet van was going south and making a left turn when it was broadsided by a speeding car.
The man who was killed was a passenger in the van. He was thrown from the vehicle by the impact of the collision and was pronounced dead at the crash scene.
The 61-year-old driver of the van was pinned inside her vehicle.
A 22-year-old male passenger in the Chevrolet Malibu car was taken to a nearby hospital with what were described as life-threatening injuries. The driver of the car was also taken to the hospital, however his injuries were described as serious but not life-threatening.
