Wisconsin Interstate shut down after semi-trailer accident

An accident between two cars in Wisconsin may be seriously traumatic for all drivers and passengers involved. The situation may be considerably more damaging to property and life if a car is involved with a semitrailer in a truck accident. Because these trucks are so much larger than smaller cars, it's often necessary for the drivers to take extra care and pay special attention to others on the road while driving. Truck drivers may also drive for long periods of time and across long distances, and may be distracted while driving if they haven't had enough rest.

After waiting in a vehicle that was hanging off the edge of an overpass after an accident with a semitrailer, a driver and passenger of a military vehicle were able to walk away from the accident on their own. Although no people were seriously injured in the accident, considerable damage was done to both vehicles.

The accident closed off several highways for a period of time as the military vehicle was removed from the overpass. The driver of the semitrailer appeared to be fine after the accident, and emergency personnel arrived quickly to treat any injured and remove the heavy eight-wheeled vehicle from the road before it feel to the ground below.

Although the passenger and driver seemed to be fine after the accident, they were taken to a local hospital to be checked out. They may not have any signs of injuries right away, but after such a serious accident, some injuries may show up later. In an accident involving a semi truck, the company that owns the truck may be required to pay for any medical expenses incurred if the truck driver was found to be at fault.
