Wisconsin radio personality injured in accident

The well-known voice of Marquette University basketball and local Milwaukee radio personality suffered a serious head injury in a car accident on Nov. 13. Milwaukee police stated that the radio host's Toyota Corolla was eastbound on W. Hampton Avenue and proceeded through the intersection of W. Fond du Lac Avenue with a green light at around 10 a.m. A Cadillac that had been traveling southeast on W. Fond du Lac ran the red light and hit the Corolla.

The radio host was taken to Froedtert Hospital and listed in critical condition on his 59th birthday. The other driver, a 44-year-old man, was taken to a local hospital for a blood test before he was taken into custody. He was charged with intoxicated use of a motor vehicle causing great bodily harm.

The radio host began his broadcasting career in 1989 and is a beloved fixture in Milwaukee broadcasting. He is in his 20th season as the voice of the Golden Eagles. The Marquette basketball coach called him one of his favorite people in the world. The host had called the Grambling State at Marquette basketball game on Oct. 12 at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.

When a local personality is injured in a car accident, the whole community may be deprived of the person's services, wit or entertainment. His family may also be facing growing medical bills and an impaired standard of living due to losing his wages during his recovery. An attorney may be able to answer questions that the family may have concerning how to file a claim against the responsible person in order to keep the family whole financially.
