Motorcycle accident in Wisconsin results in man's death

Motorcycle accidents can cause a great deal of harm to motorcyclists. Tragically, such accidents can sometimes even have fatal results. This can be seen in a motorcycle accident that recently occurred in Wisconsin.

The accident occurred in Grant County, Wisconsin last Thursday. Reportedly, late that morning, a motorcycle and a car collided at Highway 129's intersection with Lincoln Road. According to authorities, the car had failed to obey a stop sign at the intersection. The car was being driven by a 69-year-old man from Illinois and the motorcycle was being operated by a 57-year-old man from Fennimore, Wisconsin.

Reportedly, as of last Friday morning, authorities had not brought any charges or citations in connection to the accident.

According to the article on the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel's website which reported this story, the 57-year-old man was killed in this motor vehicle accident. The accident also reportedly caused the 69-year-old man and a passenger of the 69-year-old man's car to suffer minor injuries.

As this crash illustrates, motorcycle accidents can sometimes result in a motorcyclist getting fatally injured.

Thus, one hopes that all motor vehicle drivers in Wisconsin take all reasonable steps to prevent motorcycle accidents when behind the wheel. This includes exercising appropriate care when driving in areas where motorcycles are present. It also includes obeying all applicable traffic laws (including those regarding stop signs) when out on the roads. If motor vehicle drivers fail to do these things, they could be putting motorcyclists they share the roads with in harm's way.
