Man killed in trucking accident during snowstorm in Wisconsin

Drivers of semi trucks are required to go through special training to guarantee that they know how to operate a vehicle the size of the truck they are driving. This is done to ensure both the safety of the driver, and the safety of any other cars on the road around the truck in Wisconsin. When a semi accident happens, there are often serious injuries for those involved. In the most tragic of situations, a person involved in the accident may die and leave a family coping with the loss.

Adverse road conditions may have contributed to a truck accident that killed one driver and injured another. A heavy snowstorm set new records for the state in the month of May, and may have made it difficult for the two truck drivers to see each other.

One driver was moved to the hospital with injuries that were not life threatening, while the other driver died at the scene. Although an official report has not been released, officials believe one truck may have jack-knifed into the other truck to cause the accident. There was no information regarding who was responsible for the accident.

Regardless of the weather situation, truck drivers must be able to handle their vehicles on any type of road. If any type of distracted driving was involved in the accident, the family of the deceased may be given money to compensate for their loss. Anyone who has been injured in a truck accident, or has lost a family member in a truck accident due to the negligence of another may benefit from consulting an attorney to discuss their options.
