Drunk driver collides with car in Wisconsin, killing 1

It is hard to believe that with all the warnings about the dangers and risks associated with driving while intoxicated, there are still those who choose to drink and drive in Wisconsin. Many do so under the mistaken belief that they are not drunk and that they can handle the vehicle just fine. Unfortunately, this just isn’t the case a large percentage of the time.

A 23-year-old woman is accused of driving drunk and killing a 51-year-old man in Wisconsin recently. The man was riding in a car that was being driven by his son at the time. The two were pulling out of a driveway when the woman slammed into them. A passenger in the woman’s car reported that she had asked the woman to slow down prior to the collision.

The son was transported to a local hospital. None of the people riding in the intoxicated woman’s car appeared to be seriously injured.

The drunk driver was charged with homicide by drunken driving in connection to the car crash. Authorities reported that the woman had almost twice the legal blood alcohol limit at the time of the accident.

Unfortunately, this is not the first time this woman has been in trouble with the law. In 2012, she was allegedly driving a car when a man fell off the roof and died. She failed to report the accident to proper authorities and was sentenced to jail.

Clearly this woman has a problem with responsible driving. The family of the man killed in this accident would be well advised to speak with a lawyer regarding a wrongful death lawsuit.
