4 hurt in Wisconsin auto accident

A Wisconsin traffic accident has resulted in the injury of four people. One of the injured victims of this auto accident suffered injuries that were life-threatening. The incident occurred in Outagamie County outside of Black Creek at 3:30 p.m. on a recent Sunday afternoon.

Reports indicate that the accident took place when a 24-year-old female driver slowed down to turn into a driveway along Highway 54. She was traveling eastbound when an eastbound Chevy Blazer suddenly smashed into the back of her vehicle. The Blazer was operated by a teenager, age 17.

The force of the collision caused the Blazer to exit the eastbound lanes and go into oncoming traffic in the westbound lanes. It then struck a van head-on. The 63-year-old driver of the van was a man from Weyauwega, Wisconsin. He suffered catastrophic physical injuries as a result of the collision and required transportation to the hospital by medevac helicopter. Fortunately, all of the other individuals survived the crash with non-life-threatening injuries.

The problem of drivers not paying attention to the road in front of them is a serious one in the state of Wisconsin and across the country. Indeed, numerous accidents happen as a result of a distracted driver striking the back of another vehicle that slows down to make a turn or slows down because of another kind of traffic obstacle. At this time, it is unknown if authorities will file charges against any of the individuals involved in this Highway 54 accident,

People injured in auto accidents may wish to investigate the possibility of initiating civil claims for damages. If successfully navigated, injured victims may be able to receive financial restitution to pay for the costs and damages they have suffered as a result of an auto accident.
