Construction work accident injures 3 individuals

Experiencing a work accident that includes being buried by wall, ceiling and floor materials can cause severe mental and physical anguish. The long-term therapy and medical treatment that a Wisconsin victim may require can be extensive. Three employees suffered injuries during a work accident that dumped 2,000 pounds of building materials on top of them as they completed their daily duties.

The work accident occurred when a tie beam broke and gave way, showering the three men with concrete, steel and wooden materials. The men on the floor above were actively pouring concrete when the collapse happened and covered the men below. Luckily the workers were not buried and were able to be removed from the materials by responsive coworkers that immediately went to their rescue.

The three men were transported for treatment to a nearby medical facility, where one man remains seriously hurt. Initial reports did not detail the extent of the worker's injuries or how much medical care will be required. However, a construction build collapse can cause catastrophic damage to workers that could result in major injury and, in some cases, partial or permanent disability.

Inspection personnel are working with the construction company to determine what may have contributed to or caused the work accident. A Wisconsin employee who has suffered a serious injury from an accident at work may need financial assistance to cover medical costs and therapies. They may choose to look into all available compensation benefits to ensure they do not suffer additional loss from missing work or needed expenses. Workers' compensation benefits are often available to cover medical expenses along with at least a portion of lost wages.
