Car accidents often occur at intersections

Intersections are typically busy areas of road that can become cluttered with traffic, making safe driving a challenge. All motorists are obligated to remain alert behind the wheel, obeying traffic signs, road regulations and yielding when necessary. When Wisconsin drivers are negligent, car accidents often occur, resulting in collisions between multiple vehicles and serious injuries to victims.

A recent tragedy took place that involved three separate vehicles. One of the vehicles was a massive tractor-trailer. Apparently, the huge truck was traveling through an intersection in a northbound direction. A pickup truck, heading east, allegedly failed to yield the right-of-way, causing the tractor-trailer to broadside it on the passenger's side.

A third vehicle was also involved in the tragic crash. That car was said to be traveling south at the time. Sadly, four lives were lost in the accident and four other people suffered injuries. A 6-year-old girl was listed in critical condition. Some of the victims had not yet been positively identified at the time of the latest report.

Car accidents in Wisconsin that result in multiple deaths and serious injuries often have lasting effects on entire communities. It is often necessary to conduct thorough investigations into the events leading up to an accident, especially when there are multiple vehicles involved. Many times, recovering victims decide to seek compensation for damages by filing personal injury claims in civil court. In successfully litigated cases, court-awarded monies can be used to help offset medical costs and other expenses associated with such accidents.
