Car accidents are increasing across Wisconsin

Roadways across the state of Wisconsin are more crowded than ever before. With so many vehicles sharing the same roads, car accidents become almost inevitable. Most accidents are fender benders and nothing more than minor inconveniences. However, some accidents can result in very serious injuries, even death.

Recently, a crash in Janesville sent three people to the hospital with serious injuries. The crash occurred during the nighttime hours near a popular intersection. According to reports, an SUV traveling west struck a passenger car that was attempting to make a turn.

Accident reports indicate that the SUV was traveling at a high rate of speed before crashing into the car. Police officers arrived on the scene to find one vehicle on fire. The fire was extinguished with the help of the fire department and paramedics treated injured victims. Police said that all three people involved in the crash, the driver of the SUV and a driver and passenger in the car, were transported to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

Increasing populations across the state of Wisconsin mean more and more vehicles sharing roads. The myriad of distractions facing drivers today only increase the odds for car accidents. Getting behind the wheel of a motor vehicle should never be taken for granted. Those that have suffered injury or the loss of a loved one due to an act of negligence in this type of accident can pursue legal action. A successful lawsuit may result in much-needed compensation to help with lost wages and the pain and suffering that comes with this experience.
