Fatal hit and run car accidents

Hit and run crashes are among many drivers' worst nightmares, especially when the crash results in serious injury or death. Car accidents like these are often taken very seriously by authorities, and the search for the suspects can be city, state or even nationwide. Wisconsin authorities are currently searching for two individuals seen fleeing from the scene of a fatal accident in hopes of holding them responsible for their actions.

The two suspects were riding in a stolen SUV at the time of the crash. They were driving at a high rate of speed through a residential area when they ran a stop sign and collided with another car. The smaller vehicle was knocked off of the road and collided with a nearby home.

Both the driver and passenger of the SUV fled the scene on foot. When authorities arrived, they discovered that the passenger of the car that struck the house, a 65-year-old woman, had suffered fatal injuries. The driver of the smaller car, the older woman's daughter, was also severely injured in the crash and was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Authorities have asked anyone with information on the two suspects that fled the scene of the crash to contact police as soon as possible.

Victims of hit and run car accidents and their families often fear that they will never receive any type of closure. However, with the help of witnesses, the authorities have a better chance of apprehending the suspects and holding them accountable. Accident victims in Wisconsin could benefit from speaking with an attorney in their area about what compensation they might be due. This compensation might include payment for medical expenses, property damages or funeral costs, if the accident was the direct result of a person's death.
